Yaz is an oral contraceptive that includes the hormone drospirenone, which has caused serious side effects in women taking Yaz. A Yaz drug injury can be life-threatening, and in some cases it has caused death. If you have taken Yaz and have experienced Yaz side effects , you can seek legal retribution through a Yaz drug injury lawsuit in your state.

The basis for the Yaz drug injury lawsuits rests partly in the failure of Bayer Pharmaceuticals, who market the drug, to adequately warn women against some serious health problems associated with taking Yaz birth control. These include blood clots, which can cause stroke, heart attach, and gall bladder disease. If you’ve suffered medical side effects from taking Yaz, you can seek compensation through a Yaz Lawsuit that’s forming in your state.

Aside from stroke, heart attack and gall bladder disease, women have developed deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE). These are blood clotting situations caused by raised levels of potassium in the blood, which is a result of the diuretic effect of drospirenone, one of two main ingredients in Yaz.

If you’ve suffered needlessly from a Yaz drug injury then you can find retribution by joining other women in a Yaz lawsuit. If you knew then what you know now about Yaz side effects, would you still choose to take this pill?

Yaz is an oral contraceptive introduced to women in the United States in 2006. It’s a low-dose hormone version of Yasmin, which was introduced to the market in 2001. Both Yaz and Yasmin are sold by Bayer Healthcare. Yaz, like Yasmin, works on a hormonal level, preventing ovulation in order to prevent pregnancy. The synthetic hormones are the source of Yaz side effects, outlined below.

Yaz uses a combination of hormones, called ethinyl estradiol and drospirenone (DRSP). Both are synthetic variants of estrogen and progestin. Drospirenone is a progestin and very likely the source of serious health problems reported in women taking Yaz. Drospirenone is a “fourth generation” progestin, and is also found in Yasmin and its generic version, Ocella.

Yaz side effects are usually caused by too much or too little of estrogen and progestin in the pill formulation. Symptoms can include:

acne

breast tenderness

depression

hair loss

weight gain

nausea

anxiety

These may be signs of serious health problems like:

Thrombophlebitis

HypertensionHepatic adenomas or benign liver tumors

Gallbladder disease

Arterial thromboembolism

Pulmonary embolism

Myocardial infarction

Cerebral hemorrhage

Cerebral thrombosis

Gallbladder disease is of particular concern, as many women have developed this condition recently. In fact, there is probably a Yaz lawsuit forming in your state right now, due to increased symptoms of gallbladder disease possible linked to yaz. Don’t ignore Yaz side effects – take action today.

Yaz is an oral contraceptive that came onto the market in 2006 . It is a sister drug to Yasmin, which was FDA approved in 2001. Yaz contains less estrogen than Yasmin, but both are combination hormonal contraceptives which contain ethinyl estradiol (estrogen) and drospirenone. Dropspirenone is a synthetic form of progestin.

Yaz was also approved by the FDA as treatment for Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD). Women over 14 take Yaz for acne, PMS, and PMDD as well as for contraceptive reasons. Although Bayer has been forced to recant claims it cures acne and PMS, Yaz has still been a popular drug and a big money maker for Bayer over the past several years.

However, women’s experience has revealed serious health problems associated with taking Yaz. Yaz is now linked in many cases to following symptoms:

Blood clots

Liver tumors

Myocardial infarction

Cerebral hemorrhage

Pulmonary embolism

Arterial thromboembolism

Hypertension

Gallbladder disease

If you have suffered as a result of taking Yaz birth control, you have suffered needlessly while Bayer continues to see higher and higher profits. Find out about a Yaz lawsuit in your state and seek the retribution you deserve or while you spend your cheap holidays to Spain and seek the retribution you deserve. Join other women who have developed disease and symptoms from taking Yaz, and work together to seek compensation to cover medical bills. You will also be helping alert other women on Yaz to the serious Yaz side effects they may encounter while on this drug.
