Yaz Class Action Suit

Bayer Pharmaceuticals, Inc. makers of the oral contraceptive Yaz, has been forced by the FDA to correct misleading TV advertisements concerning use of their drug. Misleading labeling on Yaz packaging as well as these TV ads have caused women to be misinformed about the seriousness of Yaz side effects and efficacy of the drug to cure acne and PMS. If you have suffered health problems as a result of taking Yaz birth control, you can find out how to become part of a Yaz class action suit.
Yaz contains a progestin hormone that may cause potassium levels in the body to become dangerously high. This can lead to strokes, heart attacks, or blood clots. Packaging for Yaz birth control did not sufficiently warn women about these serious risks, say the attorneys for a Yaz class action suit in Wisconsin.
Serious health problems stemming from Yaz use include heart attack, stroke, pulmonary embolism, deep vein thrombosis and gallbladder disease.
Bayer’s ads also strongly suggested that Yaz will cure PMS conditions, and acne, for which is absolutely has not been approved by the FDA. Yaz has only been approved as an oral contraceptive and as treatment for PMDD, a sever form of PMS but with different symptoms of PMS.

Hi,
I am Rachel Avery and am 23 years old. I started taking YAZ about 2 years ago and have suffered from physical symptoms since then. I saw a cardiologist who had me wear a heart monitor for one month. I was diagnosed with “Inappropriate Sinus Tachachardia”, my medication didn’t help with dizziness, fainting, vertigo, and severe fatigue. I then saw Dr. Curtis at Scripps hospital in California and he said my correct diagnosis is “Neuro-cardiogenic syncopy”. In addtion to heart problems, I have had numerous kidney infections. I had been in and out of the emergency room several times for pain but they never checked my gall bladder because they thought the kidneys were what was hurting me. Then last month they checked my gall bladder and it was diseased. I just had it removed the end of April and I am still recuperating. Because of all this, I was out on disability from work and had to quit college. I am now living with my parents until I can feel well enough to go back to work and live on my own.

My name is Lisa. I was taking Yaz back in 2003. I started getting pains in my stomach which I thought was just gas. One Saturday in September of 2005, I just finished eating a bowl of cereal when I started getting the pains. I figured they would go away as usual, but they persisted. I got up to go to my room, but the time I got to the door, the pain was so severe I just fell to the floor. I had to call a friend to take me to the emergency room at the urgent. I could barely walk. After I was called in, the doctor had me lay on the table where he did his examination by adding pressure to my stomach. When I told him the pain area, he told me to wait he’d be right back. After about 5 minutes, he told he called for the ambulance to take me the hospital. When I asked the doctore what is wrong with me, he told me it’s my gallbladder.
I was taken by ambulance to Centinela hostpital emergency room. I was admitted to the hospital after being held in an er room in tremendous pain for hours. I was admitted so they could do surgery to remove my gallbladder. I was in the hospital for a week.
And out of work for approximately a month, with no pay.
